Flat slab is a special types of slab, differ from one way and two way slab. Flat slab is directly supported on column not on the beam as regular slab. In this type of slab the load is transfer from slab to column and column to footing, that's why it is very complicated to design. The design required to place reinforcement for resisting the application of forces and moments occurs on it over its life period by using IS 456:2000.
